Preparing your Commercial Invoice

Any non-document based export must be accompanied by a commercial invoice - unless it's destined for one of the exempt EU countries, which you can view here.

The invoice, along with an AirWay Bill, will help us to clear your shipment through Customs, so we recommend that you include all the details below:

1. The full destination address, including the name of the recipient - and their business name if applicable
2. Your contact name and telephone/fax number
3. Your Airway Bill number
4. The shipping date
5. A clear and accurate description of the goods - including all items, quantites and unit value
6. The total invoice value
7. Your VAT number, if applicable
8. Your reason for export
9. The shipment's country of origin
10. Terms of delivery - DDU or DDP (Delete as necessary)
11. Your name and signature - including the date and your position in the company

Please make sure your invoice is produced on a company letterhead, and include 4 copies with your shipment - each bearing an original signature.

To help you further, we've prepared a Commercial Invoice Template. You can complete this on screen and print it directly onto your letterhead.
